The Gap by Ira Glass

A two-minute video that succinctly details the biggest problem felt by all creative people – no matter whether they are musicians, designers, cooks, writers, or any other job that involves making something out of nothing.

The Dip by Seth Godin

Some of the most well-meaning advice is “Quitters never win and winners never quit.” According to Seth, though, this is “[b]ad advice. Winners quit all the time. They just quit the right stuff at the right time.

This is an essential book for every young person. There’s nothing inherently wrong with quitting, provided that you are quitting the right thing for the right reasons. Read the book (it’s only 90 pages!), but this 7-minute interview does a good job of distilling this idea if you really don’t have the time.
